Every year, medical students and residents struggle to navigate the complexities of clinical research. With research experience now weighing heavily on residency and fellowship applications, trainees can’t afford to waste months—or years—learning the basics by trial and error. ResearchXP was born to bridge this gap, streamlining the learning curve so trainees can focus on what actually matters: publishing impactful work.
Why ResearchXP?
ResearchXP is designed specifically to provide students and residents the opportunity to obtain research experiences conveniently and efficiently. Grasping a firm understanding of the basics surrounding research early on in your education will help to maximize the short amount of time you have to compile an impressive CV. ResearchXP provides an engaging community to help others achieve their goal of excelling in medical school and residency.
Membership
In addition to the online course, the ResearchXP membership allows for presentation and publication opportunities. The first thing we do with all ResearchXP members is set up a virtual mentorship meeting. This allows us to work with you toward your research goals. Monthly ResearchXP meetings allow for members to present their research as well as engage with other members. Members may submit posters for publication on the ResearchXP website. All of these opportunities allow for members to build their CV in a variety of ways and helps you to be more competitive for whatever your career goals are.
About the Creator
Connor Parry created ResearchXP to teach others everything he wished he knew about the research process before starting medical school. At first, he struggled to find research projects and spent a long time learning the process of research rather than conducting the research itself. Noticing many classmates also struggling, he decided to create ResearchXP as a resource to help any student or resident that was going through the same trouble. His goal is to create various opportunities for every medical student and resident to have the knowledge and experiences needed to succeed. Connor matched into Orthopedic Surgery and is excited for his future career as an orthopedic surgeon.
